Camp and Clinic Information

Our All-Skills Summer Volleyball Camps provide five days of quality instruction and guided team play.
-
The Half Day Winter Clinics focus on the skills of serving, passing, setting, and attacking while providing ample team play segments.

Our camps and clinics are open to any youth age interested, but designed for participants entering 4th-12th grade in the Fall of 2026. Each camp or clinic session is capped at 60 participants.

Players will engage with other campers of similar skill and ability improving all-skills, team strategies and tactics to be successful in the sport.

All camp sessions are lead by our Butte College Volleyball staff with the help of student-athletes, and former alumni of Butte College and the Butte County area.

Session 1 - Saturday, January 10 - 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Session 2 - Saturday, January 17 - 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Session 3 - Sunday, January 25 - 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Session 4 - Saturday, January 31 - 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Clinic Cost: $50 per session

Camps and Clinic Staff

Ed Jackson is the director and head coach of the All-Skills Camps and Clinics at Butte College.

Currently Coach Jackson is the Head Indoor and Beach Volleyball Coach with the Roadrunners at Butte.
-
Prior to being named Head Coach in July of 2024, Ed was and assistant indoor and head beach volleyball coach at Sacramento State for 9 seasons.

Throughout his 23 seasons in intercollegiate athletics, Coach Jackson directed and coached volleyball camps at UC Santa Barbara, The College of William and Mary, Fresno State and Sacramento State while members of each of those volleyball coaching staffs.

Myriah Logan brings over a decade of playing experience in both club and school teams throughout the Chico community and three years as a member of the UC Davis Women's Volleyball Collegiate Club Team.

A UC Davis graduate with a degree in Economics and Chico High School graduate, Myriah was a member of the first Matrix Volleyball Club teams and recently returned to Matrix completing her first year coaching with the Club.

Coach Logan's responsibilities focus on the development of the pin attackers (Outside and Right Side Attackers) and guide the team's defensive efforts.

Bailey Johnson is a Assistant Coach at Butte College. Bailey was a standout performer for the Roadrunners earning the program Most Valuable Player Award in her Sophomore season at Butte.

A graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and Chico area native, Bailey has strong ties to the Butte county community.

A recent graduate of Chico State with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Bailey provide support in team development and is responsible for many of the external operational components of the Roadrunner program.

Nor-Cal VB Academy was created by Ed Jackson.

100% of the proceeds generated are used to provide equipment, apparel, food, lodging, and growth opportunities for student-athletes of the Butte College Volleyball team.

We are committed to providing quality instructional camps and clinics at Butte College and offer satellite camps and clinics at middle or high schools and community recreational programs.

Our goal is to provide an enriching and challenging experience, utilizing trending instructional strategies, inspiring volleyball enthusiasts.
